Creating Together

Event Venues :

Stamford Handmade may be made up of predominantly Stamford based artists and crafters, but that doesn't keep us limited to only having events within the town.  In fact there's nothing we like more than getting out and about!
We have selected some key venues for our Members to show off their handmade items.
  • Stamford Arts Centre
  • The Victoria Hall, Oundle
  • Oakham Castle
All offer great facilities for the stallholders on the day, including parking nearby, street level access to the event, tea & coffee making facilities, or on-site cafe.
Events have dedicated event co-ordinators, who are Members and also participating stallholders.

Stamford Arts Centre is where our events all began.  A beautiful venue, we use the main Ballroom and Blue Room for events.  The bustling  Arts Centre Cafe is usually open on the days we have our events, which helps to bring in visitors to our events.
Six foot tables are provided at this event, all facilities are wheelchair accessible, with disabled parking immediately outside.

Oakham Castle

Venues don't come much more unique than Oakham Castle.  Constructed in 1180 during the the reign of Henry II.  The Great Hall is decorated with commemorative horseshoes donated by peers of the realm, the oldest surviving of which dates from 1470.
With wheelchair friendly access to all parts, including kitchen and toilet facilities, this is a very special venue for the group.
This venue does require you to bring along your own table to events.
Oakham Castle has won Lottery funding for renovations and improvements in 2015/16, therefore our events calendar will feature the venue in a limited way during this period.

Queen Victoria Hall, Oundle

A fabulous venue in the heart of the picturesque Georgian town of Oundle.  The Town Council have been delighted to have Stamford Handmade choose this venue for our events from 2015.  Proving very popular with visitors, and our events are organised to coincide with the very popular quality Farmers' Market, which is held just a few metres from the Hall, and bringing plenty of visitors to the town.
With wheelchair access and kitchen facilities, together with provision of several 5ft tables, this is a perfect venue.
